Ladies' Night out

Granny, Yi yi and mommy had a great time attending the Peranakan Ball...and they even had supper after the show...mmmmm
After today, all three of them agreed to arrange for more of such outings on a monthly basis.

A slow Saturday morning

Mommy woke up early in the morning to prepare bento lunch for the boys, despite a challenging night with them, the night before.....mmm talk about mother's love...truly unconditional...hahaha

Mother's Day gift for our dear granny

We had our mother's day celebration @ Spring Court restaurant last Sunday, 10 May 2009. Mommy didn't take any pictures coz she forgot to insert the memory card into her cam..
Anyhow, it's registered in our memories already.
Mommy is planning a ladies' night out with grandma and yi yi, as a special gift for granny, to watch the live performance of the Peranakan Ball at Singapore Indoor Stadium this Saturday, 16 May 2009.
The gift is shared by daddy, mommy and yi yi for our beloved "Ah Mah"

The Musical Play will also feature a stellar cast of guest artistes such as Olivia Ong as well as theatre professionals.An evening recreating the emotional highlights of the drama serial with a plot set in a Peranakan Ball (Tok Panjang!), with the much-loved Yue Niang, helping a downtrodden Nyonya servant girl much like herself (in the past) in a wealthy Peranakan household to find the Baba of her dreams.Traditional Peranakan song and dance woven seamlessly into the live stage show promises a colourful and spectacular extravaganza as more of Peranakan culture comes to you live this May!

Bento Craze

Mommy had some excitement with her bento session today...The following were her masterpieces
She took leave specially for her 2 lovely boys to prepare dinner for them. Seeing them wipe out all the food on the plate, she felt that all her efforts did not go to waste after all...:-)

Ingredients
1) Chinese Rice cooked with more water
2) Beef with Teriyaki sauce
3) Unagi with bb sauce
4) Soup with miso and Ikan bilis base, cooked with broccoli, carrot and potato.

In the Garden by Act 3

The kids had a lot of fun at the musical, seeing all the images like butterflies, elephants etc. They had a great time with yi yi. Daddy and mommy didn't go coz they gota work.
